Pax 3 Vs. DaVinci IQC: Detailed Comparison

Design and size

Design should be your foremost priority if you are a social beast. Both Davinci IQC and Pax 3 are compact and sleek. The metallic outer feels smooth. Pax 3, however, has more rounded edges and a stem look. Davinci has a pad-like design but is thin and easy to carry. Also, read the DaVinci IQ2 Carbon Fiber review.

Both the devices have an LED panel where Davinci IQC has a standard indicator integrated while Pax 3 contains a stylish flower that depicts that it is a dry herb vaporizer. The bodies are perfectly insulated, and the material is medically graded to provide a healthy batch of vapors.

Both the vaporizers are primarily designed for dry herbs and flowers. However, the respective companies provide accessories that complement wax or concentrate smoking.

Vapor Quality

The vapor is the same when the load is heated at the lower intensities. However, quality hindrance becomes prominent when you heat herbs at high temperatures while using Pax 3. The stainless steel chamber is less effective than the ceramic chamber in preserving smell and flavor.

Heating time

Both Pax 3 Vaporizer and DaVinci IQC Vaporizer have quick heat-up time. The Pax 3 Vaporizer heats up in just 15 seconds faster than the Pax 2 and other older models.

DaVinci IQC is not that bad in this respect, where the herbs get heated in less than a minute (30 seconds, to be precise). The conduction mode is a simple yet effective way of heating herbs.

Heating element

One of the significant flaws in the Pax 3 Vaporizer is that the heating element is made of stainless steel. This means that it is vulnerable to overheating and metallic smell.

With this vaporizer, you need to ensure the temperature is not high. A brief session at a high temperature is comparatively less prone to metallic smell.

DaVinci IQC, on the other hand, has a ceramic and quartz heating element along with the zirconia and quartz vapor path. The glass vapor path preserves all the goodness of herbs, and the smell is aromatic, to say the very least.

There is Bluetooth app support integrated into both devices. Pax 3 and the DaVinci IQC have an android app that can be used to control temperature intensities.

The iPhone support was unavailable after Apple decided not to allow apps that promote vaporizers and smoking products.

Overall controllability

The overall controllability is excellent while using the Pax 3 and DaVinci IQC Vaporizers. As we have already mentioned, both devices have Bluetooth apps.

The ever-so-reliable and convenient haptic feedback is an accurate way of knowing what the device has to say. There is an LED grid available as well. Pax 3 has a small flower-shaped LED indicator, while the DaVinci IQC has a grid.

Different temperature and usage modes are integrated to make sessions more specific to the smoking pattern of each user (we will discuss it in detail later). All in all, controllability is all the same if you compare these vaporizers.

Warranty period

DaVinci IQC comes with a solid warranty support program that secures your investment for 5 years. Pax 3 Vaporizer, however, goes a step ahead by offering a 10-year warranty contract for buyers.

These warranties cover the manufacturing faults and quality relater issues only. Breakage or mishandling will render the contract void.

Pax 3 or DaVinci IQC: Deciding factors

Battery life

One of the deciding factors is the battery and charging specifications. Reviewing the DaVinci IQC Vaporizer, we assure you that the battery specs are better than any other market-leading vaporizer. The device takes 2 hours to heat up as the charging base is type-C.

The usage duration is almost half the time it takes to charge, and this quick depletion is understandable as it provides Bluetooth support. Another merit is the reverse charging capability, where you can charge any electronic device using the DaVinci IQC.

The Pax 3 Vaporizer does not provide luxury features like reverse charging, but the battery life is somewhat better than the DaVinci IQC Vaporizer. The battery takes around 1.5 hours to charge completely, and the battery life is roughly the same.

The battery life is longer while the charging time is shorter than the DaVinci IQC. However, the Pax 3 batteries are non-removable, while the DaVinci IQC has a replaceability feature. This means you can now invest a little to prepare a backup option.

Temperature settings and presets

The temperature settings while using the Pax 3 vaporizer might feel a bit complicated initially, but once you get used to it, it becomes more convenient. The mobile app enables you to select any temperature of your choice between 360 and 420 degrees Fahrenheit.

If you do not have a mobile app available, then the device has a temperature setting area that can be accessed by pressing and holding the power button for 2 seconds. 4 preset temperatures are 360, 380, 400, and 420 available.

Standard mode, boost mode, efficiency mode, flavor mode, and stealth mode are the different modes available to make your vaping experience more suitable to your requirements.

The DaVinci IQC Vaporizer is different and simple in both the physical and mobile app controllability. The temperature range is between 0 and 430 degrees Fahrenheit.

The range is much broader than the Pax 3 Vaporizer, and the best thing is the ease with which you can switch between intensities. There is a +/- 1 increment available at your disposal. An experienced smoker will surely enjoy this treat.

It also has four different smart paths called flavor (350 to 370 degrees Fahrenheit), mind (370 to 390 degrees Fahrenheit), body (390 to 410 Fahrenheit), and rest (410 to 430 Fahrenheit). However, Pax 3 modes are far more convenient as they target usage patterns, not the temperature levels.

Vapor path

DaVinci IQC has a glass vapor path that insulates the vapors while traveling through the device to your mouth. It preserves the taste and lets the vapors cool down before reaching the mouthpiece.

The unnecessary conduction heating is prevented so you can enjoy red-hot vapors, unlike the Pax 3 vaporizer. Pax 3 has a standard interior where you can find a simple vapor path. The vapors might feel a bit harsh when the settings are extremely hot.

Pax 3 or DaVinci IQC? Which Vaporizer Is Best?

The Pax 3 and DaVinci IQC Vaporizers are closely related when considering the primary features. Both the devices are sleek and stylish to use at parties.

Portability is never an issue, as you can slide these devices into your pocket. Despite being closely related, several factors will let you decide which product suits your needs.

Portability is never an issue as the size is compact. However, there is a different proportion of value provided by both the products. DaVinci has reverse charging compatibility, where you have an option to forego your vaping routine to charge your mobile phone.

This is a handy feature when traveling, but Pax 3 has a better battery life that lasts 1.5 times longer than the DaVinci IQC Vaporizer.

Apart from this, choose DaVinci IQC if you want quality vapors and a long temperature range. On the other hand, we would recommend Pax 3 for more convenient temperature modes and settings.
